The 2024 NDEAM theme, “Access to Good Jobs for All” ACCES-VR, honored businesses and workers that are committed to our mission of assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and supporting independent living through training, education, rehabilitation and career development. United Radio was recognized for its demonstrated commitment to providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
“We’ve been working with United Radio for a long time, and our interns get a well-rounded experience working with the company’s IT department ,to working on repairs of electronic equipment,” said Maggie McNamara, NYS Director of Employment for Community Options. “This has allowed them to develop new skills sets. United Radio believes that an intern should have the knowledge about how the company runs as a whole and the company has been able to offer that full body of experience. We’re really happy to have partnered with United Radio in this program.
John has been working at United Radio for the past year and doing a great job!
